Today is Christmas Day. It will be a relaxing day. We had a cooked breakfast, and have done some washing and tidied our bags. I will give my bicycle a little clean later – I am having a problem with my lower gears. A good clean should do it.
We will have Christmas dinner in our hotel room – with a nice bottle of New Zealand wine to go with it.
This evening we will hopefully be able to contact family and wish everyone a Merry Christmas, even though ours will almost be over.
Merry Christmas Everyone
Merry Christmas Jacqueline and Ralf. Hope you have a good rest day in Napier.
We have had a great Rest Day. Check out the Art Deco photos. I think if you double click on the photo in the gallery you should see a better picture
Have a lovely Christmas and New Year
Jacqueline and Ralf
Merry Christmas. Isn’t Napier a hoot. Frozen in time because of an earthquake. Re the clear cutting , it only takes a few years to replace the whole forest so this is common in NZ.
Napier was very interesting. We spoke to a couple last night at the camp site and they said the same thing. Although there is a lot of concern with the forestry industry as a whole. The highest risk jobs, the most workplace accidents etc.
Merry Christmas Jacqueline & Ralf! Glad you are taking a rest! All is well here!
Merry Christmas Wanda and Steve. Have a great New Year.
Wishing you a wonderful Christmas.
Happy New Year Beate, Mike and Meagan. We called Karl yesterday. We will try and Skype you sometime in the New Year.
Merry Christmas Jacqueling and Ralph
We wish you a Happy New Year from Shanty Bay
Greetings from Shanty Bay. Lots of snow here and Lake Simcoe is frozen solid. A very early freeze – the earliest one in about 55 years.
We hope you are enjoying your adventure!
